Faria & Filhos was founded in 1949, expanding from liquors into Madeira in 1993. Their most affordable Madeiras, like this Meio Doce (Medium Sweet) style are made using the Tinta Negra Mole grape. Maderisation is achieved through heating stainless steel vats at a constant temperature for several months, before the wine is fortified, bottled, and allowed to rest.
