A.V. Martorana, Insolia, Sicilia, Italy 2017

100% Insolia

PASSIONFRUIT & LEMON CURD, WAXY ALMOND

Insolia, the tropically-scented variety that represents the current generation’s most famous abundant and sought after white wines of Sicily, is very much at home in it’s typical, Tyrrhenian climes. Pairing beautifully with beach weather and seafood, its firm acidity and generous, citrusy flavors refresh and invigorate palates beneath vibrant, summer sun. Don’t worry; it’s every bit as viable a treat on rainy days or under grey skies – you may even forget that you’re not wading in the surf...

Serving Suggestions: Ricotta pizza w/ anchovies, capers, lemon zest, & green peppercorns. Pasta & scrimpers w/ sliced almonds & white wine / olive oil sauce.
