Domaine de Suremain is a biodynamic estate located in the village of Monthelie the Cote de Beaune, right outside of the more famous Meursault. Eric and Dominique Suremain produce both white and red Burgundy, plus Marc de Bourgogne and this very rare Ratafia made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. Ratafia, traditionally produced in Champagne, is a combination of unfermented grape juice (typically from the red grape Pinot Meunier) and Marc de Bourgogne (brandy). This bittersweet, nutty concoction is a perfect complement to almond desserts and strong cheeses.

Serving Suggestion: French almond cake w/ chantilly cream. Prodigal Farm Saxapahaw Blue cheese w/ fig jam.
