The northeasternmost tip of New Zealand’s southern island has, over the course of the past two decades, climbed to the top of the charts in Sauvignon Blanc production. Marlborough is home to a distinctive style increasingly emulated around the world, and yet this unique offering from Seresin layers an unusual intensity of tropical ripeness over that famously edgy grapefruit and gooseberry sharpness often sought from New Zealand “savvy.” Michael Seresin has worked extensively in the film industry since the 1960s, directing photography for stunning films such as “Gravity” and “Midnight Express.” His keen taste is evident in his wines as well.
