Along with their son Anthony, Tony and Jo Ann Truchard own and operate Truchard Vineyards in the moderately cool-climated Carneros area of Napa. The vineyard covers a broad 400 acre swath of sloping hills and fog-prone valleys with a dizzying variety of soil types. This blend, composed of Cabernet Sauvignon with touches of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec was aged for 20 months in French oak (45% new). We love this wine’s balance of concentrated ripe fruit, woodsy spice, and earthy green pepper. Powerful enough for aging 10+ years but ready to grace your table tonight.

Serving Suggestion:  Embered beef cheek with charred onion, summer squash, & African blue basil.Fire-roasted carrots with baby fennel, vadouvan spiced chevre, and heirloom greens.
