Brut Cuvee (Laetitia Winery)

Laetitia Winery, Brut Cuvee, Arroyo Grande Valley, CA NV

{sustainable} 60% Pinot Noir 30% Chardonnay 10% Pinot Blanc

PEAR & ALMOND, TOASTY, RICH CREAMY TEXTURE

Wow! This is an amazing value in domestic sparkling wine, rising to stand among the very best in every aspect apart from price. Intensely fragrant while remaining delicate, this assemblage of fruit harvested from older vines washes over the palate with its rich, creamy mousse and never-ending bubbles. Subtle vanilla undertones work their way through a zesty citrus core, adding to an overall impression of outstanding finesse and balance. Not to be missed!

Serving Suggestion: An all-occasion romantic celebration in a bottle... or just because! Or go big, and try Cuban-style (grilled) Mojo chicken w/ baby greens, avocado, and mangoes.

2016 Chardonnay Estate (Laetitia Winery)

Laetitia Winery, Estate Chardonnay, Arroyo Grande Valley, CA 2016

{sustainable} 100% Chardonnay

MOUTHWATERING APPLE, LYCHEE & LEMON, TOASTY SPICE & VIBRANT ACIDITY

We know Laetitia Winery as the producer of some of our absolute favorite domestic sparklers (which you should also try), but they make fantastic non-sparkling estate wines in their far-south corner of California’s central coast. This is a perfectly balanced Chardonnay with interplay between a solid oak base and bright acidity. Fruitwise, it tends toward the tropical side of the spectrum with rich exotic lychee and other southeast asian flavors.

Serving Suggestions: Scallops drizzled in a honey/sriracha sauce. Garlicky white bean stew. Roast chicken with egg noodles.

2016 Pinot Noir Estate (Laetitia Winery)

Laetitia Winery, Pinot Noir Estate, Arroyo Grande Valley, CA 2016

{sustainable} 100% Pinot Noir

PLUM & CRANBERRY, SPICE, MILD CIGAR SMOKE

We know Laetitia Winery as the producer of some of our absolute favorite domestic sparklers (which you should also try), but they make fantastic non-sparkling estate wines in their far-south corner of California’s central coast. This nice Pinot Noir comes on strong with plum fruit and sweet spice, but soon reveals a complex structure and lots of smoky, earthy, decadent threads. A little bit smoky on the finish, but very cool.

Serving Suggestions: A good NC BBQ wine. Smoked whole hog with a mild vinegar sauce and some cracklin’ on the side.
