From its humble beginnings just shy of a century ago to its current status as a producer of imposingly elegant and deliciously singular reds, the legacy of Chateau Beynat spans four generations of devotion among the descendants of the estate's founder, Leonard Nebout. This fantastic Saint Émilion with a surprising preponderance of Cabernet Franc (and an equally unexpected complete absence of Merlot) gleams with deep purple fruit, rich dark chocolate, and sumptuous herbal notes. A real gem!

Serving Suggestion: Roast pheasant (or, in a pinch, cornish hen) seasoned with sage and adorned with slices of bacon & chopped shallots. Hearty winter salads comprised of root vegetables, kale, and arugula - seasoned with white balsamic vinegar & dill.
