Chateau Armandière, Cahors, Southwest, France 201290% Malbec, 10% Merlot FIRM BLACK PLUM, DUSTY EARTH, VERSATILE Bernard Bouyssou is the 4th generation to run this lovely estate in the Lot Valley of southwest France, named after his great grandfather Armand. The "vin de garde" (reserve and ageable) wines of this appellation are renowned around the world, but their delicious table wines rarely make it outside of Europe. This lovely unoaked Malbec blend has the bright, fresh berry flavors of a young wine, anchored by a slight edge that these Cahors are known for. Serving Suggestion: Hearty cassoulet with lamb, duck, and sausage seasoned with thyme and fennel. Braised oxtail stew in tomato sauce with yellow onions and turnips.
