Throughout many vintages, this guy has been, for us, an absolute essential in Oregonian Pinot. Not only is the price astoundingly gentle, but the style is friendly and fiercely representative of the claims to fame held by the Pacific Northwestern paradise of Pinot. Yes, this is classic and uber-typical of Oregon, aching with European earthiness and a whiff of smoke while giving us clear access to signature Willamette aromas of ginseng, beets, and horseradish. Sound strange? It certainly is enticing, mysterious and tasty. Prepare to be wowed!
